Role Overview: The sous chef will work with the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing the team, assisting with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stock rotation. The role requires strong leadership, particularly as you will step into the Head Chef position in the absence of Head Chef.

What you will do:
  • Work with Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing the team, assisting with menu prep, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stock rotation.
  • Leads the kitchen brigade in the absence of Head Chef
  • Provides guidance to junior chefs
  • Ensure hygienic and very safe kitchen environment
  • Participate in training and maximise the opportunities for the ongoing development of junior chefs to prepare them for more responsibilities
  • Assist with planning kitchen rota
Who you are:
  • Previous five-star hotel or fine dining experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Level 3 Supervising Food Safety Qualifications
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Formal culinary training
