Wedding & Events Sales Manager

We are an independent family run luxury venue set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside with multiple restaurants, a farm shop, picture house, events spaces, a festival field and a hotel.

We are care about our land, our people and our guests and we are looking to recruit a Wedding & Events Sales Manager to Manage our busy wedding sales division, with 120 wedding on the books this role does not sit still!

The role of Wedding & Events Sales Manager will include:

  • Conduct appointments and show rounds with potential customers, understand their vision, preferences, and budget for the event. 
  • Maintain open communication and provide regular updates to clients throughout the planning process
  • Conducting planning appointments, details appointments & final appointments for weddings & events
  • Take provisional bookings and ensure they are on the CRM system to be followed up and converted to a confirmed wedding
  • To do all necessary administration required by the position (eg confirmation letters; email enquiries; chase provisional bookings; pro forma invoices; details etc)
  • Manage the deposit schedule on a regular basis, ensuring all monies are received in accordance with our terms and conditions.
  • To be a part of all wedding shows
  • To pro-actively sell all our venues for weddings ensuring we are maximising opportunities
  • To arrange and lead the weekly function sheet meeting with the wedding operations team
  • To attend Sales Office meetings as required
  • Assist in the planning of the Weddings & Events Revenue budget
  • Take responsibility for achieving the budget that you put forward annually
  • coordinator, ensuring that targets are being met
  • Proactively selling our event spaces to future couples
  • Gather feedback from clients and guests to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any outstanding issues. 

Requirements for Wedding & Events Manager:

  • Previous sales & operational experience in a busy events-based environment is a must.
  • This is an office based sales job with a small amount of operational input.
  • All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
  • An excellent standard of presentation is essential.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
