Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a, Assistant Bar Manager to join the team in it's unique four star hotel. 

 You will report to the Bar Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift. You will be responsible for overseeing all departments, managing guest services, supervising staff, and handling guest concerns to ensure a memorable and seamless experience for all guests. 

 A Assistant Bar Manager will be responsible for:  

  • Assisting in the daily management of the bar to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Leading and motivating staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring high performance.
  • Delivering exceptional service, handling guest inquiries, and resolving complaints professionally.
  •  Monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensuring the bar meets hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
  •  Assisting in staff training to maintain high service standards and product knowledge.
  • Handling cash, processing payments, and assisting with sales and budget tracking.
  •  Supporting the organization of promotions, special events, and seasonal offers.
  • Working closely with the Bar Manager and other departments to enhance operations and guest experience.
To be successful in the role of Assistant Bar Manager  we require:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a bar or hospitality setting, with a good understanding of bar operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively guide and motivate the bar team.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both guests and staff in a professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage bar stock, inventory, and daily operations efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including alcohol laws and hygiene standards.
  • Financial acumen to assist in managing the bar’s budget, sales, and financial reporting.
  • Creativity and initiative to assist in designing promotions, events, and special offers.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
