Job Description
To purpose of the role is to analyse financial data to bring about improvements in processes, systems and financial control. This role will be working with Head of Departments (HODs) and the Finance Manager to understand and control costs and to maximise financial efficiency.
- Analyse financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide identify areas for improvement
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, specific to our operation, and monitor the ongoing performance against these budgets.
- Gather data to provide variance analysis and insights on budget vs actual performance, providing regular reports for management and as needed for specific projects.
- Perform scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of different business decisions.
- Provide financial analysis to track financial performance of Fixed Income businesses (clusters) to drive business decisions and highlight potential shortfalls, and identify any areas for cost-savings.
- Perform and track cost/benefit analysis for Capital Acquisitions and other projects.
- Create dynamic reports and dashboards that highlight trends and potential red flags for both operating and capitalised spends.
- Provide recommendations for improving cost efficiency, whilst identifying financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Monitor market trends and external factors that may impact the organisation's financial performance.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Finance Managers and wider team, including handling ad-hoc reporting requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role, desirably within the Catering industry.
- Moderate Excel Skills (Lookups, Pivot tables, power query; Macros)
- Strong analytical skills, and an excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time keeping skills
- Team Player but the confidence to work independently
- Experienced in Power BI, and within management accounts would be desirable.
