Located in the heart of Bristol's Old City, the hotel is right by the waterside, within easy walking distance of the prime cultural, business and shopping districts. This boutique style hotel includes 116 uniquely designed guest rooms. Our hotel is currently operating under a government exclusive use contract, and we are providing our great facilities to residents on a long-term stay basis. Due to this exclusive contract the hotel is closed to the public and is operating under a different model to your usual hotel operation.
Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to support the day to day running of the hotel operations. This will include supervision of the Guest Services Assistant team, kitchen and maintenance teams to deliver the best experience, day in and day out, for our valued residents.
You will have the ability to work without supervision and be an approachable people person with the willingness to oversee the development of each individual department and team member. You will be expected to maintain a close relationship to residents throughout their stay.
This role is a multi-tasking role, and you will be required to be adaptable to ensure that the needs of the residents are always met. This position reports direct to the Regional General Manager.

Role in our Family
As an Operations Manager, key to your role is:
- Daily supervision of the team and heads of department, ensuring daily tasks are completed and acting as the single-point-of-contact for any service related issues.
- Support with scheduling rotas for the team as and when required.
- Support with stock managment and ordering across departments.
- Engage with our residents and clients and be the go-to-person for our exclusive-use clients.
- Identify ways to motivate and engage team members, proividing development opportunites where you see fit.
- Maintain good communication and work relationships with all departments, and the regional leadership team.
- Ensuring and maintaining compliance with all fire, health and safety and food safety regulations at all times, being responsible for crisis management duties such as Fire Marshalling and First Aid.
- Supporting all departments to include maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen and front-of-house departments to ensure services are delivered to the hotel residents in line with company expectations.
