Seasonal Greenkeeper

Position Scope:

To carry out golf course maintenance duties, as directed, ensuring that the courses are at all times presented in the best possible condition. Assisting with all main duties during high season of golf.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Cutting playing surfaces, setting up golf courses, raking bunkers, etc. as directed.

• Construction, aeration and turfing work / duties, as directed.

• Maintain high standards of customer care at all times.

• Understand Trump Turnberry  policy on Health and Safety and to ensure that all duties performed are carried out with full regard to the safety of customers, visitors, contractors and other employees; work within the Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment and HAVS Assessment guidelines at all times.

• Ensure the efficient and effective operation and safe handling of materials  following  policy and procedure. 

• To operate all machinery safely and effectively; care and maintenance of machinery and the reporting of loss or damage to Workshop Manager .

• To accept training and instruction to further skill set.

• Follow department standard operating procedures

• Any other duties that may be required on the golf courses or around the estate.

Person Specification

• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

• Position requires walking; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.  Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

• Driving licence (desirable) – will limit opportunity.

• Basic knowledge of golf (desirable).

Knowledge, Experience and Education:

• National 5 qualifications inc English ( Desirable ) 

• Previous experience in a similar position (desirable)
