Here at BaxterStorey we currently have an exciting opportunity for a People Talent Manager, as the People Talent Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing the BaxterStorey talent management strategy, ensuring we retain and develop our top talent. This role will focus on succession planning, leadership development and career progression, to support our long-term business goals.

  • Design and implement talent management programs to identify and develop high-potential team members.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, career development, and leadership growth.
  • Collaborate with managers to create personalised development plans for key talent.
  • Develop and maintain a robust succession planning framework.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify critical roles and key successors.
  • Establish programs to prepare future leaders through mentorship, coaching, and training.
  • Assess workforce capabilities and future talent needs to align with our long-term strategy.
  • Support career pathway initiatives to enhance internal mobility.
  • Provide insights on talent gaps and recommend action plans to address them.
  • Work closely with People Business Partners, Heads of People and senior leaders to understand talent needs.
  • Partner with Learning & Development teams to ensure alignment with training initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to managers on best practices for talent assessment and development.
  • Track and analyse key talent and succession metrics to measure effectiveness.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to improve talent programs.
  • Report on talent pipeline health and succession readiness.


Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, or leadership development.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, workforce planning, and career development frameworks.
  • Experience with talent assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to talent planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and talent analytics tools.
