Essential: Must have Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Experience
A key member of the Divisional Senior Leadership Team and Group HR Leadership Team, responsible for, developing, executing and championing a fully aligned divisional People Strategy that ensures extraordinary guest experiences are consistently delivered through our great people.
This role operates within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) division, collaborating with team members at all levels, interacting with Group HR Leaders, and partnering with Brand HR teams and external providers.

Role in our Family
- Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with Splendid’s long-term growth plans.
- Lead and mentor the HR Team across within the Divisions, deliver high-quality professional services and business partnering aligned with Splendid’s Values (Honest, Nimble, Brilliant & Open) and priorities.
- Provide values-based leadership across the divisional operations team, supporting organisational effectiveness, accountability, and driving Diversity, Equity & inclusion.
- Advise on people challenges, manage organisational change sensitively, and support complex areas including employee relations, employment tribunals and succession planning to ensure sustainability and growth.
- Lead strategic talent management, ensuring Splendid is positioned to attract, identify, develop and retain top talent, and foster a development culture at all levels.
- Partner with group HRLs to design and implement HR transformation initiatives aligned with organisational objectives driving Splendid’s strategic agenda.
- Being the facilitator of cultural ownership across the business by embedding our values and culture through recognition, growth, wellbeing and community projects.
- Lead employer legal requirements and compliance for all touch points of the employee life cycle.
- Act as HR Representative for SRC and partner with the KFC brand, to drive broader initiatives. Managing divisional third-party relationships and the People Budget.
- Lead the L&D process and team, ensuring we execute all compliance, operational and leadership training with a constant focus on building people capability.
- Lead complex HR projects and lead change initiatives, including implementing new tools and technology that will drive organisational effectiveness.
Measures include:
Turnover and Retention cost, employee engagement, risk management cost, talent management, Training & Education, delivery of Splendid’s strategic goals and ambitions to reach £60m EBITDA by 2026.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) or demonstrable experience at HR Leader level, including leading HR Professionals.
- Skilled in managing day to day operational people priorities, whilst navigating strategic workstreams and how they integrate into operations.
- Strong ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels, leveraging listening, influencing, and coaching skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Essential Experience:
- Experience in designing, managing and implementing the divisional HR strategy and projects partnering with Divisional Ops leaders and Group HR Leaders.
- Extensive experience in the full employee life cycle, talent management and managing risk in a high churn diverse workforce.
- Independent thinking required to define how the strategy can be delivered in practice, with a need to prepare and communicate plans, prioritise and sequence projects and activity appropriately.
- Previous experience in a HR Leader/Head of Human Resources role in a QSR or retail organisation.
Desirable Experience:
- Experienced in leading remote teams and group partnerships across multiple locations.
- Proven progression through multiple generalist and strategic people and culture leadership roles, working divisionally on issues like pay and reward, recruitment, development, DEI, and employment law.
- Experience in Learning & Development and Apprenticeships.
Ability to travel nationally as and when required.
