Baxter Storey are looking for a Chef De Partie to join the team at the our unique Venue at Burges Salmon.
Working as a Chef De Partie will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will not only support the Sous/Head Chef in the day to day running of thospitality but also act as a mentor to the junior kitchen brigade. You will work collaboratively with both the kitchen and front of house team to deliver bespoke events and hospitality service whilst creating food that honours the seasons and celebrates local produce.

Job Description
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Chef De Partie to join our dynamic culinary team in Bristol, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while supporting the senior kitchen team in day-to-day operations.
- Assist the senior kitchen team in managing daily kitchen operations
- Work across various kitchen stations, demonstrating expertise in preparing a wide range of dishes
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation, adhering to established recipes and standards
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, fostering their professional growth and development
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative and inspiring culinary ideas
- Assist in stock rotation, inventory management, and minimizing food waste
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and health regulations
- Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing fresh ideas to the table
- Demonstrate flexibility in covering different kitchen stations as needed
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or a motivated Commis Chef looking to progress
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of cuisines and dishes to a high standard
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and relevant health and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior kitchen staff
- Creative flair and a passion for developing innovative culinary concepts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Up-to-date knowledge of current food trends and modern dining concepts
- Physical stamina to work long hours in a demanding kitchen environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in using various kitchen equipment and tools
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the culinary field
