As our Pubs Marketing Manager, you will be at the heart of developing and implementing impactful marketing campaigns that not only engage our customers but elevate their experience with our brand. You will work closely with our General Managers and Operation Managers to ensure our values shine through every campaign, touchpoint, and customer interaction. Your creativity will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer engagement, driving footfall, and boosting sales across our pubs.

With a primary focus on executing high-impact marketing strategies, you will bring fresh insights and a data-driven approach to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. Whether amplifying our brand story, maintaining consistency across all marketing channels, or discovering innovative ways to connect with our community, you will be leading the way in making our pubs the go-to destination.

  • Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to the Managing Director - Pubs, leading key marketing projects for Managed Houses and aligning with the wider Group Marketing strategy
  • Lead and develop the Marketing Executive, setting clear goals, providing guidance and identifying skill-building opportunities to foster continuous growth
  • Drive the growth of Shep’s Birthday Club through the Airship (CRM) strategy, focusing on growth initiatives aligned with the 2030 vision
  • Oversee the execution of promotional calendar for both own-beer and third-party promotions, leveraging email, social media and third-party supplier relationships
  • Develop and implement digital, social, web and photography assets for pubs, ensuring effectiveness and brand alignment
  • Collaborate with Finance to measure promotional effectiveness, providing monthly insights and proposing new strategies to the Ops Comm
  • Manage the end-to-end process of the quarterly/monthly promotional calendar, coordinating with suppliers, operations, CRM, and web teams
  • Collaborate with General Manager’s and Operation Manager’s to create bespoke marketing plans for new acquisitions and integrate them effectively
  • Support re-launches of pubs and hotels with marketing toolkits as part of the Managed Capital Development Programme
  • Contribute to retail pricing strategy through competitor analysis and market insights
  • Oversee the monthly email promotional calendar, managing content, audience segmentation, and website promotion
  • Manage a pipeline of bespoke creative briefs, ensuring successful external agency collaboration, especially for new acquisitions
  • Support the launch and effective promotion of new food brand concepts within the Managed Houses estate
  • Lead paid social campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives and delivering measurable results


The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong digital skills with demonstrable experience working with key hospitality technology providers and leveraging digital tools for marketing
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end creative briefs and deliver impactful campaigns
  • Skilled in managing multiple stakeholders and delivering projects on time
  • Commercially astute with a solid understanding of financial reports and measuring ROI on marketing campaigns
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to drive impact and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Meticulous in all forms of information sharing with exceptional written, verbal, and creative communication skills
  • Highly resilient with the ability to maintain focus, optimism, and productivity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A self-starter who is curious, creative, and constantly seeking new ideas and solutions
  • A genuine interest in the pub industry, emerging trends, and best practice
