Shepherd Neame is excited to be recruiting for a ‘Tenanted Onboarding & Marketing Executive’, for a newly created role based here at the Brewery and Support office in Faversham, Kent.

When it comes to running a pub with Shepherd Neame, we don’t believe that one size fits all. Just as our pubs all have their own individual character, we know that every one of our partners has their own unique vision for their business, so this role will see you working alongside our new licensees and the pub support team during the recruitment process and the first twelve months of the tenanted onboarding process, providing a range of financial, sales, marketing, training, operational and compliance support.

Alongside this, you will also provide dedicated administrative support to the Marketing Team, covering areas including finance, events, logistics and communication.

  • Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Tenanted Onboarding Support

  • Monitor and report on new licensee progress during the first twelve months in their business, updating internal and external stakeholders and relevant business systems
  • Schedule and attend site meetings to conduct one month and six month business and financial reviews with new licensees, monitoring and reporting on ongoing sales and operational performance targets
  • Ensure new licensees provide monthly profit & loss accounts availability to identify any shortfalls or further opportunities
  • Monitor new licensees ‘Licensing checklists’ and ‘Training records’ to ensure all mandatory requirements are met within the set time frames
  • Review operational health & safety, fire risk and security surveys at site to ensure all mandatory requirements are met 
  • Promote use of and train licensee to utilise the internal property compliance portal to log and address any property maintenance issues

Tenancy Recruitment Support

  • Work with the recruitment team to identify, attract and engage new potential tenancy applicants

 Marketing Administrative Support

Finance administration for Marketing Team (POs, Vendor set up, POS set up)

  • Event logistics and administrative support for Marketing Team – booking couriers, ordering relevant materials such as beer and POS, liaising with organisers and relevant account manager, overseeing marketing support
  • Inbox management for Sheps Giving, Birthday Club and overall Marketing Team
  • Media monitoring
  • Digital file administration (sorting and filing photography and films, uploading to SN Connect, SN Cellar, Trip Advisor, Google My Business and SN websites, sharing with team members and pubs)
  • Vehicle booking management
  • Competition management (terms and conditions, winner selection and communication)
  • Ad hoc pub requests (posters, POS, prizes)
  • Consumer query management (general information requests)
  • Award entry logistics (packing beer, etc.)
 The Ideal Candidate:

  •  Proven experience and knowledge of the operational aspects of running a successful pub and/or restaurant
  • Working knowledge of P&L reporting, sales and business planning
  • A sound understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present
  • The ability to engage with and influence decision makers
  • The ability to identify improvement opportunities, working with others to drive and deliver results
  • You must be able to predict challenges, find solutions and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate at all levels both confidently and effectively
  • Flexible approach with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Maintain high standards and deliver exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong IT literacy with proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages
  • Full driving license and own transport as this role is part field based
