Title: Chef de Partie – Full-Time, Term-Time Contract

Location: Queen Mary’s School, Baldersby Park, Topcliffe, YO7 3BZ

Salary: £27,000 per annum

We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our team on a full-time, term-time contract. The role primarily involves working from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening shifts to cover for boarding chefs' days off. During school holidays, the role includes catering for lettings, which may require some weekend work. These responsibilities are shared equally among all chefs and occur infrequently.

Job Description

  • Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals for students and staff
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with health and safety regulations
  • Work as part of a collaborative kitchen team, supporting senior chefs when required
  • Assist in managing kitchen stock, ordering, and food waste control
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Contribute to menu planning and help create innovative dishes
  • Cover evening shifts when required to support the boarding chefs
  • Provide excellent service and maintain a positive dining experience for students and staff


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role
  • Strong passion for producing high-quality, nutritious meals
  • Ability to work well within a team and manage time efficiently
  • Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends
