Opening in early 2025, The Standard, Brussels marks the hotel brand’s third outpost in Europe. Set in the city’s Northern Quarter, The Standard, Brussels brings the brand’s design, culture, and activation-driven philosophy to Belgium.
With 180 guestrooms (plus 20 residences), the modern, new-build project features many stages for The Standard’s renowned day- and nightlife. A ground-floor greenhouse welcomes guests and locals into the lobby lounge, restaurant, and terrace. Upstairs, The Rooftop features its own restaurant, bar, and garden—set to become a neighbourhood destination. Throughout the building, additional public and private event spaces are platforms for happenings.
The Standard, Brussels will welcome a new set of creative, dynamic guests into the brand ethos. We are defined by our richness of personality, diversity of background and lifestyle and are now looking for a Night Audit who will embody our ‘Anything but Standard’ ethos as we commence our pre-opening period.
Your Role
As a Night Audit for The Standard, Brussels, you will become part of an exceptional front office team that will engage with our guests from pre-arrival, throughout the guests stay to post departure. Primarily you will provide our guests with unparalleled level of hospitality, from a seamless arrival and departure experience, to extensive reception services, assisting them with their queries and unexpressed wishes. You will help you create an environment where you will not only delight our guest, but also excite and surprise them to create the ultimate guest experience in Brussels, that is anything but Standard
You will of course be on hand to provide information on hotel services and most importantly, as their host, make our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a high volume, high energy environment and can manage both detailed administration tasks and guest with ease.
This is not a ‘Standard’ Night Audit role so you will need to have serious stamina and passion, be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a wider management team.
Do you have what it takes to be our Night Audit at The Standard, Brussels....
A minimum of 1+ years’ experience as Night Audit or Front Office Agent role gained within a similar Lifestyle Hotel or large city centre Hotel is essential for this role. Although prior experience in a similar role is useful, we welcome all at The Standard. You should have an uncompromised and natural flair for service, building genuine relationships with guests that enable us to not only pre-empt needs but foresee desires… yes, even the ones they didn’t know they had!
In addition to this you will also need….
- A proven background in a customer facing role, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ or boutique hotel sector
- To be A night owl (happy to work between the hours of 8:00pm and 8:00am)
- A flexibility approach to working hours with the ability to work shifts including, evenings, nights and weekends. This is a fulltime role; however, we have many opportunities for those seeking a more flexible working schedule
- Have exceptional administration and organisation skills with great attention to detail
- Fluency in French and/or Dutch in addition to English is preferred for this role
- Highly social, motivated, and proactive; professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment.
- Experience of using Opera / Opera Cloud PMS is preferred
- During the pre-opening period you will need to have a flexible approach to working hours which may include some late finishes and weekends as we prepare the hotel for opening.
