Location: Streatham & Clapham High School, South London
Salary: £32,000 per annum (term-time only)

Holroyd Howe is a leading UK contract catering company, delivering fresh, innovative food services to independent schools and colleges. At Streatham & Clapham High School, a prestigious South London girls' school, you’ll contribute to a vibrant, supportive community known for its academic excellence and creativity.

Working 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (term-time only), you’ll also showcase your pastry skills at occasional hospitality events, with great opportunities for overtime.

Job Description

  • Prepare and craft high-quality pastry, desserts, and baked goods with precision and consistency.
  • Supervise and mentor junior pastry chefs, fostering skill development and ensuring team excellence.
  • Monitor stock levels of pastry ingredients and report inventory needs to maintain seamless production.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within the pastry workstation.
  • Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to harmonize pastry production with overall kitchen operations.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional pastry kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or specialised certification in pastry arts is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, baking methods, and presentation styles.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a pastry kitchen environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and visually appealing creations.
