The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for an Groups and Catering Sales Manager to join our talented Sales & Marketing team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Support sales and marketing plan to achieve budgeted revenue goals for catering and group rooms.
• Participate in sales Mystery Shop programme and ensure lead handling and customer service delivery is in line with LHG standards to achieve Event Survey satisfaction goals.
• Produce and execute quarterly action plans and achieve personal catering and group revenue goals.
• To utilise Salesforce system in accordance with best practice.
• Act as Salesforce champion for the Groups and Catering sales department. Assist with daily, weekly and other required reporting
• Group and Catering sales lead handling, and conversion to definite with signed contract.
• Manage catering space, in order to maximize revenue and continuously review selling strategies.
• Monitor and manage prospect bookings, ensure activities in each booking are updated and bookings are followed up to maximise conversion
• Coach and train Catering and Group Sales Executive.

ABOUT YOU

• previous experience of handling reactive groups and catering sales in a similar environment 
• strong knowledge of the reactive sales process
• previous experience of supervising, coaching and training of colleagues
• strong customer focus
• ability to work in a fast moving environment and to deadlines
• competitive spirit and drive when it comes to achieving targets
• previous use of Opera PMS and Salesforce systems is advantageous
