Kitchen Team Leader

We are looking for a talented and motivated Kitchen Team Leader to lead the Kitchen at The Dragonfly Hotel in Bury St Edmunds

With the historic town centre just a few minutes stroll away, there is easy access to top Bury St Edmunds shopping, stunning parks and annual festivals. There really is so much to do in the local area!

You will be tasked with cooking food to an outstanding level to provide to all of our customers and we are looking for experience in either a hotel or pub environment.

We are looking for our Kitchen Team Leader to have:

• Excellent team leader qualities- calm under pressure, great interpersonal skills and initiative
• Great food quality and presentation- creating food to be proud of
• The ability to deliver high standards consistently
• Outstanding attention to detail
• High standards of food safety, health and hygiene
• Clear communication skills

The Kitchen Team Leader (Chef) role require:

• Preparing and cooking to spec
• Complying to food safety and other regulations and rules as set out by the business
• Preparing and cooking items on the menu
• Organising and labelling the kitchen and it's storage
• Managing and ordering in stock
• Keeping wastage to a minimum
• Managing the kitchen- including cleaning and maintaining food safety standards
