Learning & Development Manager

Contract: Permanent
Salary: $78,000 + great benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Implements HR training, development, and quality assurance strategies.
• Communicating and maintaining Corporate Training programs, hotel’s specific training framework and calendars.
• Monitors that the hotel is following federal, state, and local programs and certification requirements.
• Facilitates adherence of all employees to established Forbes, LQA, and other standard quality training programs the hotel participates in.
• Designing, delivering and/or arranging training programs to address specific training needs (compliance, essentials, corrective, developmental)
• Creates an overall hotel L&D strategic plan with a Learning needs analysis to support department heads in creating their department strategic plans.
• Development of annual L&D plan and calendar.
• Coordinates outside training requirements.
• Reviews feedback websites, guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement. Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Assists with other functions as needed.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 1 - 2+ years’ experience in a training or operational manager capacity, preferably within the hospitality field.
• Bachelor's Degree in hospitality, human resources or related field is preferred.
• Experience in luxury hotel operations or human resources is preferred.
• Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Spanish or other language skills would be a plus
