Housekeeping Assistant

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our service users. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all areas of the unit are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Working alongside the team, you’ll contribute to making sure the service users’ living spaces are well cared for, and assist with any housekeeping tasks as directed by senior staff. Your work will help create a safe, pleasant atmosphere that supports the well-being of those in our care.

You will also have the opportunity to support and mentor new staff in learning housekeeping duties, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them settle into their roles. Participation in staff meetings and training will be part of your role, as we value ongoing learning and development to ensure our team is always improving and working in line with the highest standards. Health & Safety training and an awareness of COSHH guidelines will be key elements of your training, as we strive to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.

This role is open to individuals who are eager to make a positive impact, with no prior experience necessaryalthough previous work in a care setting is an advantage. Basic computer skills are required, and you will need to be respectful of Christian worship in line with our ethos. You will also need to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undergo appropriate vetting checks.
