Our busy communal cleaning team carry out cleaning across our estates within Birmingham, Worcester & Hereford.
As a Cleaning Supervisor you will be expected to look after a team of up to 14 mobile and static cleaning technicians located at different areas across the 3 areas. As Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of the work and supervision of the team in a Social housing setting.
You will need to have good, comprehensive experience of cleaning of all aspects of buildings, including corridors, lifts, foyers, bin stores, welfare rooms, toilets, stairwells, litter picking, immediate external areas. You will also be able to train others in cleaning skills and complete audits to show standard of cleaning is being reached. You will complete sickness reviews and carry out 1 to 1’s with cleaners on a regular basis.
In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Cleaning Supervisor will involve:
- Looking after and planning work for your team
- Providing training to improve the standards of cleaning within your team
- Monitoring daily work and ensure all work is completed
- Carrying out cleaning with your team
- Completing admin work with basic IT skills
- Carrying out sickness reviews, plan holiday and write reports to assist with investigations.
- Completing 1 to 1’s and complete annual PMRs with your team
- The expectation of working week is to work with your team cleaning the blocks for 3 days a week, 1 day doing audits and 1 day admin in an office
As Cleaning Supervisor we need you to have:
- Previous cleaning experience
- Experience of managing a team of cleaners
- Enthusiasm to achieve the highest cleaning standards possible within your team
- A clean and relevant driving licence
