In this role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, inspire and guide the front-of-house team, and make impactful decisions to uphold our high standards while driving sales, managing costs, and maximizing profitability. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain exceptional service levels by training staff in Chotto Matte’s unique service philosophy, ensuring seamless execution, and continuously auditing food and beverage quality.
Schedule and participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports and other managers under your leadership to provide guidance, feedback, and support.
Develop FOH staff through coaching, SMART goal setting, and regular performance reviews.
Collaborate with HR and leadership on hiring and succession planning while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including scheduling, cash handling, and adherence to closing procedures.
Lead weekly management meetings, establish performance targets, and guide the Assistant General Manager in achieving project goals.
Actively engage with guests, providing personalized experiences, resolving concerns, and ensuring each visit is memorable.
Be a visible leader on the floor and a primary point of contact for guests.
Collaborate closely with the Events Team to ensure the seamless planning and execution of private events, maintaining the highest standards and exceeding guest expectations.
Analyze sales and profitability, develop strategies to achieve revenue goals, and collaborate on long-term planning to enhance the Chotto Matte brand.
Provide educational opportunities for staff and ensure consistency in service and operations.
Establish consistency and set clear expectations by developing and implementing new SOPs while providing comprehensive training for Restaurant Managers.
Ensure adherence to California labor laws, health and safety standards, and all applicable regulations.
Maintain accurate staffing plans, timekeeping records, and compliance documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with providers to ensure quality and consistency in product offerings.
Foster open and transparent communication with employees to gauge satisfaction and address concerns effectively.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism by exemplifying respect, polished communication, and a positive demeanor.

Continuously perform food and beverage audits and implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure excellence.
Organize and facilitate weekly Head of Department meetings to establish performance objectives, set clear targets, and outline key deadlines for team success.
Collaborate with HR on all FOH employees' recruitment, selection, and termination processes.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in food and beverage management within a high-volume, upscale, or lifestyle-driven restaurant environment.
Proven managerial skills with a hands-on approach, demonstrating honesty, a strong work ethic, and high moral integrity.
Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality and operations in the premium dining sector, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain relationships with team members and guests.
Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth operations and team success.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Proficient in Google Workspace, Excel, and industry-specific tools, including POS (Toast) and reservation systems. Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus.
Strong knowledge of California labor laws, health and safety regulations, and operational compliance.
