Located in the heart of the unique Mercato Metropolitano sustainable food market, BEBEME serves wine in a way that redefines tradition. We’re now searching for an experienced and enthusiastic bartender to join our team and become an ambassador for our wine-forward philosophy.

At BEBEME, guest engagement is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be the face of our service, guiding customers on their wine journey by:

• Making personalized recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Sharing insights about wine production methods, our sustainability initiatives, and the ethos behind our offerings.
• Creating an inviting atmosphere that ensures every guest leaves with a memorable experience.

• £12.50 per hour plus an estimated £2 per hour in service charge.
• 33 days of holiday (pro-rated), including bank holidays.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience: At least 1 year in bartending and/or customer service (preferred).
• Knowledge: WSET Level 2 qualification or above (preferred).
• Skills: Confident with EPOS systems, excellent communication, and time management.
• Passion: A deep enthusiasm for wine, sustainability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Personality: Friendly, approachable, and driven to grow within the company.

In this role, you’ll:

• Prepare and serve drinks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment.
• Handle opening and closing duties for the venue.
• Collaborate with management to execute events and tastings.
• Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Monitor stock and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
• Uphold Health & Safety standards, including COSHH protocols.
• Attend training sessions and tastings as required.
• Conduct yourself professionally while on Mercato property.
