Los Mochis City – Head Chef 

Los Mochis City is seeking a highly skilled, creative and ambitious Head Chef to lead our flagship restaurant at 100 Liverpool Street. 

As the Head Chef, you will be working closely with the Executive Chef & Corporate Chef and own the responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the back of house areas, including menu development, production, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. This leadership role requires exceptional culinary expertise and strong management skills particularly managing a large team.

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and execute innovative menus that align with Los Mochis' culinary vision and customer preferences. 

  • Oversee the production and presentation of all dishes coming from the kitchen, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards. 

  • Train, mentor, and supervise the senior & junior chef teams - fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. 

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimize profitability while minimizing waste. 

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as the bar and front-of-house, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. 

  • Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and ingredients, and incorporate them into the wider program when appropriate. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, always adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards. 

  • Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations.

Requirements/skills: 

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef looking to move up or in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel. 

  • Extensive knowledge of Japanese ingredients, and flavour combinations. Familiarity with Mexican based cuisine is a bonus. 

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. 

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

  • Creativity and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to develop visually stunning and delicious dishes. 

  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments. 

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
