Located in the bustling Mercato Metropolitano Ilford sustainable food market, BEBEME combines exceptional service with a diverse menu of cocktails, beers, and wines. We’re now searching for an experienced and enthusiastic bartender to join our team and help elevate our guests’ experience.

What You’ll Do

At BEBEME, guest engagement is at the heart of everything we do. As a bartender, you’ll take the lead in delivering exceptional service by:

• Crafting expertly made cocktails that showcase creativity and precision.
• Offering beer and beverage recommendations tailored to customer preferences.
• Explaining the stories behind our drink offerings, including sustainability efforts and production methods.
• Providing a welcoming atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression.

What We Offer

• £12.50 per hour plus an estimated £2 per hour in service charge.
• 33 days of holiday (pro-rated), including bank holidays.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience: At least 1 year in bartending or a similar role (preferred).
• Knowledge: Understanding of cocktail techniques, beer styles, and EPOS systems.
• Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, and time management abilities.
• Passion: A love for the craft of bartending and enthusiasm for sustainability.
• Personality: Friendly, approachable, and eager to grow within the company.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

• Prepare and serve a range of drinks, including cocktails, beers, and wines, with attention to quality and presentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment.
• Handle opening and closing duties for the venue.
• Assist with the development and execution of events, tastings, and promotions.
• Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Monitor stock and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
• Uphold Health & Safety standards, including COSHH protocols.
• Attend training sessions and tastings as required.
• Conduct yourself professionally while on Mercato property.
