Catering Assistant/ Assistant Cook

A long established company is looking for an experienced Catering Assistant/Cook to work in their small friendly staff canteen. Based in Medway Towns, this is a temporary position, however there may be an opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 1:00pm. A Food Handlers Certificate is required for this role.

You will be working on your own preparing breakfasts and snacks for approx 30 covers per day. The menu consists mainly of hot breakfast rolls, jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches and soup. You will also be responsible for producing a main meal, menu planning and some basic costings.In addition to this you are responsible for some food ordering, stock control, cash handling, filling vending machines and cleaning the kitchen at the end of each service.
