In close collaboration with our Head of IT, you’ll be at the forefront of new projects, ensuring seamless implementation and delivering exceptional technology experiences for our guests.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our technical systems within our venues.
The Role
- Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects within scope, budget, and timelines, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Define project objectives and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders; communicate key milestones and project progress to stakeholders and senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues to drive successful project outcomes.
- Resource Management: Coordinate team resources, including internal teams, external vendors, and consultants; manage the scheduling and availability of Venue Technicians and Systems Technicians to meet project demands.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Align IT infrastructure with business needs, ensure systems are secure, reliable, and up-to-date, and oversee systems development post-implementation, including all updates and system changes.
- Security & Compliance: Implement comprehensive security measures for network, data, and communication systems; ensure compliance with industry standards to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Operational Management: Handle budgeting and ensure cost-effective resource allocation; manage contracts with external IT vendors to meet service standards.
- Technical Support & Performance Management: Provide Level 2 support to Level 1 technicians, maintain team SLAs, oversee IT support to staff, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Risk & Recovery: Develop and implement systems recovery, backup procedures, and risk evaluation to ensure business continuity.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation on IT systems and processes, prepare regular performance and initiative reports for senior management, and manage hosting and domain services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, ideally within the hospitality or travel industry.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing cross-functional teams to drive successful project delivery.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems integration, cybersecurity, and software development.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
While not required, the following experience would be advantageous:
- Networking: Experience with Unifi networking solutions, with certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ as a plus.
- Payment & POS Systems: Hands-on experience with EPOS setup and installation, credit card and payment gateway integration, and mobile ordering solutions.
Working Arrangement
- Your place of works is Lane7 Manchester 235 Deansgate, Manchester and from venues
- Working remotely when appropriate
- Your hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
- Travel to our Lane7 sites as required for the role with flexibility around working hours required
- Some hotel overnight stays as required to meet needs of the business
- You’ll work in a close-knit team in this broad and varied role
