ABOUT THE ROLEYour focus as Unit Manager will be to support the care home management team to deliver high quality care with a difference by providing a safe, caring, innovative , open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of nurses, senior carers and carers to provide staff support, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
- Enhancing and promoting the resident's quality of life through effective care planning.
- Managing and participating in the rota to ensure that senior care and care support are always available and that the your unit is covered appropriately.
- Supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.
ABOUT YOU To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do.
Our ideal candidate must have:
- An active NMC PIN.
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- At least two years' experience of working within a care home environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
