We are looking for a passionate and guests focused Host/Hostess to join our incredible Straits Kitchen & Bar team at Pan Pacific London. 

You show confidence, empathy and professionalism when dealing with guests and associates alike. You are calm under pressure and you desire to deliver the best experience for our guests. JOB SUMMARY

Working as the Host/Hostess, your main role is courteously greeting and escorting guests to tables and assisting them in seating, ensuring Pan Pacific standards of service. Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the hostess stand, cashier area, cloak area and the dining room at all times. Assist in monitoring the guests’ needs, check the previously ordered items and inform the restaurant kitchen and service staff of all pre-booked menu and special menu requests of the guests. Your tasks as a Host/Hostess will include but not be limited to:

 

·         Maintain complete knowledge of all food items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.

·         Maintain complete knowledge of all wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.

·         Communicate reservation or cancellation changes to the management as they arise throughout the shift.

·         Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.

·         Be familiar with all the operation services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.

·         Inspect all aspects of the restaurant environment ensuring compliance with standards of cleanliness and order.
