Head Server (30 hours/week)
STK Restaurant, located within ME London Hotel, offers a unique dining experience that combines the ambience of a contemporary steakhouse with the vibrant energy of a lifestyle hotel. Known for our prime cuts of beef, innovative cuisine, and world-class service, STK has established itself as a premier destination for both locals and visitors. We are now seeking an exceptional Head Server to join our team and lead our front-of-house operations. As the Head Server at STK Restaurant, you will be the face of our service team, ensuring that every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience. You will lead by example, manage our dedicated servers, and work closely with the kitchen and management teams to maintain our high standards.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the serving staff.
· Deliver exceptional service to all guests, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
· Train, mentor, and motivate servers to ensure consistent high-quality service.
· Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
· Ensure participation in briefings at the beginning of each shift to get information on dishes of the day, VIPs, groups, and general comments and sharing information
· Be punctual and comply with policies and procedures regarding discipline, presentation, work schedules, transit areas and safety regulations defined by the hotel.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and all restaurant policies.
· Manage reservations and seating plans to maximise guest satisfaction and table turnover.
· Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining environment.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English. Other languages would be a plus.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Organised and able to react quickly.
The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
