Job Advert: Commis Chef - Thai Restaurant

We are delighted to announce an exciting job opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join the team at our brand new Thai restaurant. With a focus on delivering authentic and delicious Thai cuisine, our restaurant aims to provide a memorable dining experience for all our customers.

As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting our Head Chef and the rest of the kitchen team in creating and serving exceptional dishes. We are looking for someone who has previous experience in Thai cooking to bring their culinary expertise to our establishment. Your knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques will be essential in helping us deliver an authentic and flavoursome menu.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operationsPreparing and cooking Thai dishes according to our recipes and standardsEnsuring the kitchen is clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulationsStock control and inventory managementCollaborating with the team to maintain a smooth and efficient service

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Commis Chef, ideally with a focus on Thai cuisineA strong passion for cooking and a genuine interest in Thai culinary traditionsKnowledge of Thai ingredients, spices, and cooking techniquesAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environmentStrong communication skills and a team-oriented attitudeFlexibility to work during evenings and weekends

Working hours:

Currently, our clients' restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday, with evening service from 5pm to 10pm. On Sundays, our opening hours are from 3pm to 10pm. As a Commis Chef, your hours may reflect the preparation work required before service.

Salary:

The salary for this role will be determined based on the candidate's level of experience. We are committed to offering a competitive salary package that reflects your skills and expertise.
