Chef De Partie - Job Description:

As a Chef De Partie, you’ll be an integral part of our kitchen team, contributing to an exceptional fine dining experience with a focus on authentic Italian cuisine. You’ll bring your professional pasta / mains / grill cooking expertise and deep understanding of Italian culinary traditions to create dishes that meet our high standards of quality and flavour.

Chef De Partie - Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook Italian dishes to a high standard, particularly focusing on pasta / mains / grill.
  • Menu Execution: Assist with the creation and execution of menu items, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency and authenticity.
  • Quality Control: Maintain food quality, presentation, and taste to ensure every dish aligns with the restaurant’s high standards.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Help with stock control, ordering, and waste reduction. Maintain accurate inventory levels and report discrepancies.
  • Cleanliness & Hygiene: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitation and cleaning of workstations and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, sharing knowledge and skills in Italian cuisine.
  • Training & Development: Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff, sharing techniques specific to Italian cuisine, particularly in pasta / mains / grill preparation.
Chef De Partie - Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Chef De Partie in a fine dining environment, ideally in Italian cuisine.
  • Pasta Expertise: Proven professional experience with pasta-making, including fresh and speciality pastas.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Solid understanding of Italian ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during high-volume service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Qualifications: Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
