Maintenance Shift Engineer

As Cluster Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within our hotels and restaurants.

The maintenance engineers’ primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

You will need to be reliable and hardworking and be able to work flexible hours including weekends.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the hotels and restaurants including any faults or repairs,
• Plumbing – unblocking drains/toilets, repairing/replacing taps etc.
• Minor electrical works – replacing lamps/fittings, sockets and switches etc.
• Carry out H&S tasks, i.e. weekly fire alarm tests, water temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling etc.
• Maintenance on HVAC systems, i.e filter cleaning/replacing
• Ensure that the hotels and restaurants are kept to the highest maintenance standards.
• Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by guests and team members according to the hotel's reporting procedure.

Person Specification:

• Previous hotel experience
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
• Good problem-solving skills
• City & Guilds level 2 in any trade is desired but essential
