Assistant General Manager

The Peacock in Angel  - soon to be relaunched, is looking to bring in an ambitious and personality led Deputy General Manager to work alongside the General Manager to drive the business forward. The Peacock will have an all-day food offer focusing on premium quality, seasonality and sharing dishes - from small plates to hearty gastropub classics - while weekends are all about Saturday brunch and stunning Sunday roasts. Behind the bar you'll find the best of London’s craft beer scene, classic cocktails, small-batch gins and artisan wines. 

Located opposite Angel tube station, we’re the perfect spot to unwind, have a few pints, a quick bite, or dinner with friends and family.

The Role

• As DGM you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue in the GM's absence.
• Your personality fills the room and creates a workplace culture of creativity and fun.
• Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
• You have impeccable floor, bar and service experience.

• Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a manager depending on the property being looked at
• Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
• Superb customer & floor service skills
• Strong all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
• An entrepreneurial flare
• Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
• Personal License holder beneficial
